Following a phenomenal win last weekend on the 10th February from Berrahri and jockey Dennis Schiergen, Berrahri continued to flourish on the snow and went on to take the top spot in the Longines Grand Prix on the 17th February under Kieren Fox!
This is a fantastic result for Berrahri and all associated with him. We knew he was good on the snow, but to win Switzerland's most valuable horse race is just incredible.
"Berrahri won the Grand Prix today in St. Moritz ridden by Kieren Fox. They went a furious pace in the early part of the race leaving us struggling towards the back of the field but down the back straight he started to pick them off taking the lead round the final bend staying on strongly at the finish to win Switzerland’s most valuable race by about 5 lengths and in the process winning his 5th race at the prestigious racetrack. Having come here almost every year since 2007 it was great to win the big one having been placed many times before. Congratulations to Mark Curtis and Stephen Purdew who must thank all the owners of white turf racing for leasing the horse for the duration of the meeting. Great day for the yard!"
