RACING POST VERDICT 7.45 Brighton......
John Best's LUXFORD got off the mark with a decisive win over C&D last month and ran a big race under a penalty from a tough draw at Kempton 24 hours later. She is open to further progress now back at 1m on turf and has leading claims here. The main dangers are Lawfilly, who didn't get much luck when second behind the selection here 14 days ago, and Jack Blane, a close fourth upped to 1m at Wetherby last time. Another one to keep an eye on is Lagertha, who is a possible improver dropped back in trip on her handicap debut.
And C&D winner Luxford doesn't disappoint at Brighton tonight in deteriorating conditions. Well judged ride by Martin Dwyer getting across to the near running rail on the home straight to win cosily. Congratulations to owners Stuart Mair, Wendy Bush and Steve Summers.

Hiorne Tower hadn't run on the turf since 2014 and his last run on the all weather was back in November 2016 so his comeback couldn't have been sweeter. He made progress 3f out in the 2m handicap at Lingfield under Robert Tart, didn't have a clear run when challenging 2f out and was driven to lead over 1f out. He kept on strongly to win easily by 3 lengths. Congratulations to Jackie Jones.

Couldn't resist posting the many wins of Berrahri THIS YEAR - Lingfield, St Moritz, Epsom Can't believe there are still some shares left in this talented horse.

What a July we are having .... with the team split between Chester and Lingfield today it's been a busy but hugely successful day.
Berrahri kicked off in fine style at Chester on good to soft ground over 1m 5 1/2f. Kieren Fox overcame a wide draw at the hugely draw bias track to dictate the pace over 8f out and adding another win to his record never looked in doubt! Berrahri notched up his 4th win this year for owners White Turf Racing UK, congratulations to Mark Curtis, Bob Malt, Walter & Geraldine Paine and Mark Wykes.
Glenys The Menace provided our next chance of success at Chester over 1m 2 1/2f. Again Kieren Fox overcame a wide draw with the filly who was held up midfield, didn't have much room coming into the final furlong but battled on strongly to get her head in front to win on the bounce for owners Mark Curtis, Tom & Alex Jenkins and Bob Malt. Congratulations from all the team on her 3rd win this year!
Finally down in Surrey at Lingfield, Hiorne Tower C&D winner made progress over 4f out in the 2 1/2 mile handicap on soft ground. He challenged 2f out, got his head in front under Hector Crouch to win on the bounce for Jackie Jones. Congratulations from all the team on another very special win.
